Longwood, FL asked in Family Law and Child Custody for Florida

Q: If the courts are petitioned on the same dates for the same custody case?

I am petitioning him for custody in FL today where I have just moved on January 12 2017 to my grandparents in FL because of a domestic violence situation. An EOP was granted to me until January 18th at 3 o'clock when I didn't appear in court due to the fact I moved, the EOP was dropped. He is going to petition me in IL (the child's "Home" state) the same day (January 19, 2017) I didn't realize that I could petition him until last night. He has a lawyer and I currently do not for financial reasons. Which state is more than likely to pick up this up? And can he make me move back to IL because of a custody battle?
