Q: In the state of Tx does WC have to pay for time missed from work to attend BRC's and court dates for disputed WC claims?
A: Basically, you receive cash for temporary income benefits. The time missed from work is allowed for doctor's appointments. I do not believe you would receive reimbursment for time lost for going to a administrative hearing. If you are loosing time from work and/or working only part time, I don't know if the insurance carrier would actually take the time to try to separate out the time you spent attended a hearing but I guess they could. If you are working full time, and you have to miss some time to go to a hearing, you are not entitled to reimbursment for that.
