Q: can i leave home when 16? parents seperateted, both BAD parents. Have a place i want to go, best friend of 13 years mom

Im 13 as of now. my parents are separated but I feel miserable living with both of them. my mom is always yelling, I hate her husband and the house is so dirty, there is even mouse poop everywhere. my dad is BETTER but not by much, the house is just cleaner and yells a bit less. I have a best friend who has been my friend for my while life and her parents are both EXTREMLY loving and amazing to me. i want to live with them becuase I have no life with my parent's, i only clean, babysit, clean, get yelled at, clean, and sit in my room... oh also clean. i get yelled at for going to my room, but when im not in my room in also getting yelled at for doing SOMTHING, there is always somthing. i know I cant decide as of now where i live becuase im only 13, but when can i get out of this situation im in.. will i have to wait until im 18? (my parents would NEVER agree to me living with someone else becuase they are controllingand it would 'hurt them too much')

A: You are not alone.

Short of the State coming in and finding both parents unfit and yanking you out and placing you somewhere, you are stuck.
