Q: If someone is awarded a home in Probate Court how long do they have to claim home and if not claimed do I own the home

A: Without specific information it is impossible to answer this question 'definitively' but if a Court has AWARDED property to someone they don't have to 'claim' it -- it is theirs, and the order would have specific information in it as to how that transfer was to be accomplished (by recording the order, or directing the Personal Representative to deed the property etc.)

If the person it was awarded to fails to pay taxes in the future, or does something else that would transfer the property, is not relevant to the situation in Court, but may impact what someone else could do in the future.
