Q: Injured in 2013, no longer w/company. I have a Doc for my injury, but company joined network. Do I have to switch?
I left company in 2014, they switched to network in 2017. Do I have to switch to network doc (Concentra or CareNow are my options)?
A: I'm not 100% on this answer, but I believe you will need to switch to the network doctor. You can have the Carrier send you the website to search out which doctors are in network. You might try calling the Division of Workers Compensation in Austin to speak to someone that deals with the networks. A problem you may have is locating a doctor that would be willing to take on a claim that is so old. If there are no network doctors willing to treat you, you can ask for an out-of-network exception from the network administrator. You would need to discuss this with your adjuster. If you have been treating with your doctor since 2013, you should ask the workers' compensation adjuster if they would be willing to make an out-of-network exception. Good Luck.

I am not 100% either on this question. I agree you should call DWC, and speak with an ombudsman or lawyer for injured workers at DWC. You can look on the website posted below:
