Salem, OR asked in Car Accidents for Oregon

Q: I was in a car accident 3/18/2015 & know that time is running out on this claim. I am worried about the settlement.

I have just been in contact with their insurance since Jan/Feb. 2017 (this is after many letters back & forth & a change of adjuster) & was told the hold up was they had not received info from my medical insurance Kaiser P. I have since contacted Kaiser 3x & the insurance co & was informed they finally received the info they needed. I am very worried that about a good settlement & then there will be no time to get a lawyer & can't afford one anyway. I could really use some advise/help.

A: Consult a member of the Oregon trial lawyers association--they give free consults, and take cases on a contingent fee.You should do this now because it looks like your case may otherwise not be able to be filed on time.Good luck!

A: Consult with of attorney immediately. Many personal injury attorneys will represent you on a contingent fee basis which means they are only paid if they recover money for you. That also means that you do not have to pay them up front.
