Q: My daughter is 17.5 and has her license. Can her father refuse to allow her to drive?
He lives 2 hours away and I am required to meet halfway. Can he refuse to allow her to do this with her 15 yr old brother? She doesn't always want to go for the weekend and sometimes I would like her help instead of having to drive an hour there and back after work. Since she is legal to drive and almost 18 can he stop me from sending her?
A: No, he probably can't prevent her from driving your car to meet him. If he has a legitimate objection, he should, of course, bring it up with the court, but from what you indicate I don't see a problem.
