Sparta, TN asked in Workers' Compensation for Georgia

Q: What to do if workers comp begins paying for treatment, and when the Dr. orders surgery they deny further claims/comp?

I had an injury occur several months ago. At the time I thought I just pulled a muscle, but did the first report of injury just in case. Because we already had 2 of the 5 full time workers on medical leave I saw a doctor and we agreed that if it got worse I would return. A few months later the injury became worse and I went back to the original dr I saw. I was referred to a specialist and an mri was done. The next appointment I had a workers comp nurse attend and the doctor recommended surgery, but stated due to workers comp I would have to attempt physical therapy first. I was then removed from work due to no light duty being available .After completing therapy my symptoms became worse, and at the next appt. the Dr. recommend surgery. Now I have a new adjuster who is re-investigating the claim and deciding whether or not to pay. I am still having to use my leave time and not receiving any weekly compensation. What do I need to do if she states the claim is now denied?
