Dimondale, MI asked in Business Law, Consumer Law and Contracts for New York

Q: Q: Hello:) how do I contact or what do I do about a lifetime warranty watch I have that looks like the company is closed

The company seems to be out of biz in NY and I can't find anyway to contact them to get what was paid for by my grandfather for a lifetime Warrenty. I dont know if the watch is even worth $$ or not but either way it's not working so if it is worth a decent amount of $ I can't sell it not working & cant find the company listed on the paper n the box with it. I have the original box & paper for Warrenty but don't know what to do. It's a gold pretty women's watch guess u could call it somewhat decorated due to the gold work & bracelet type it is it's made by a company named FADA Industries in Long Island city in NY which is no longer there I guess & the watch has a name of Allanté do plan to look on eBay or other sites to see if I can find a similar one and see what it's worth as well but can you tell me what I should do with the company that is now apparently closed. Thank you:)

A: File a complaint with the consumer protection division of the state of NY or the AG office of NY.
