Q: I finished paying for my house and the person I bought it from refuses to sign over the Deed. How can I get the Deed?
They say I didn't pay all of it but there is a contract and I have proof of payments made.
A: If he person is refusing to sign over a Deed to the property you may need to hire a real estate attorney and file a law suit for specific performance. If the lawyer were to contact the person to threaten that a lawsuit will be filed if the deed is not signed within a set time limit.
A:
This sounds like you had an installment sales contract or a contract for deed. The failure of the owning party to transfer the asset will require a beach of contract action against them. There possibly may be attorney fee repayment as part of this action.
You need to get an attorney and have him/her look at the contract to see what the owner is objecting to in the failure of performance they are alleging against you. This is extremely important and time sensitive so find an attorney immediately in your area..
