Q: Virginia. I got a summons from the court to to appear fir a child custody hearing.
My mother wants to get custody of my 3 kids ages 2-10 and im willing to give up my rights to them . And there fathers in not on the birth certificate i just want to know what to expect in court . And how many courts will therr need to be for all of it
A: Just because the father is not on the birth certificate does not mean he is not the father. He is a necessary party to the proceedings and will likely be required to have notice.
