Denver, CO asked in Traffic Tickets for Colorado

Q: How can I find the percentage received by the judges who oversee traffic violation cases? Is via their pension or other?

I need to know where to look for this information? Its obviously a fact that judges and cops profit off of traffic tickets. How can I find the information about the particular court where I need to appear?

A: Colorado does not work from a fines pay for the legal system model. Judges/magistrates are paid a fixed salary by the State of Colorado regardless of the number of cases that are processed (or not). Some police departments follow a quota system for officers generating tickets. The financial information on the courts can be found of Colorado Judicial Branch webpage (make sure to select the correct district).
