Frederick, MD asked in Medical Malpractice for Maryland

Q: Dentist recommended me filling, was never in pain before, after filling in pain for more than a month, now root canal.

My dentist asked me to do filling on two tooth, I was in no pain before,I trusted him and got procedure done.Since then I am in immense pain and DR worked on same tooth's 3 times and it's over a month I am still in pain. I went to other Doctor and he say's I need root-canal on those tooth's. I was never in pain before I was perfectly fine. I trusted my Dentist and now I have to go through unnecessary procedure, and immense pain.

I am very upset that after recommendation of a professional I got filling done which went wrong and he has to work on it to fix it over 3 times and I am still not back to normal. And now unexpected expenses of over $3,800 or more needs to be paid by me. I need to know if I have a case against my Dentist?

A: Possibly. Consult a member of the Md. Assn for Justice--they give free consults. Even if it's too small for them to take, if you have another dentist you could take the one that did it to small claims court.
