Q: if I left home without permission wat can I do to take my new born baby with me considering I've graduated already
I'm in college now and I also do have somewhere to live is there any way I can have my child with me and not with my parent
A: Its your child, and the father's. It is not your parents. Neither your parent nor anyone else can keep your child from you without a court order in Tennessee. I am not licensed in other states and cannot comment as to what the law is anywhere but in Tennessee.

As for leaving home without permission, if you are under 18 you could be considered a runaway. Be aware of the possibility that anyone, including a grandparent, can contact the Department of Children Services to investigate your capability to take care of your baby. If you are found lacking in stable housing, employment or financial stability, parenting skills, or the ability to provide appropriate care and parenting for your child, it can be taken from you and placed elsewhere, including foster care.
