Q: My daughter was in a car accident she was the victim but got citation for the accident. My Daughter was hit from lt. bk
My daughter was going straight in right hand lane the other young lady was making a left hand turn into the right-hand Lane that my daughter was in and hit her in the back panel on her left side of her vehicle. The young girl said that my daughter ran a red light my daughter assumed she did . The officer gave my daughter the citation which put her at fault and paying for the other girls car when my daughter calm down she thought about it and remembered looking in her rearview mirror and seeing the vehicles behind her go around the accident. Is it illegal to make a left hand turn into a right hand lane if so the officer didn't assist the accident well because they gave my daughter the ticket for running a red light that she possibly didn't even run and if it is illegal to make a left hand turn into a right hand lane which is obvious because her vehicle is hit on the left back bumper shouldn't the other young lady get a citation for making an illegal turn.
A:
It's only illegal if the left hand turn lane had a designated left turn signal and that signal was red.
Big question is does she have time to plead not guilty. If there was significant damage or injuries, there would be a police report. Important to see that. Was there a camera at the intersection, or at any business at the intersection that would have caught it?CHeck that out ASAP as video gets dumped.
