Q: Is there anything I can do to get my son and to keep him from bouncing from one place to another?
I live in Macon mo. My sons mother left the state to move back to nc. She was gone for about a month and came back. She wrote me txt msgs stating I would take the responsibility after she left. And also wrote a hand written letter to my lawyer stating the same. Well before we could get the new parenting plan typed up and sent away she came back. She's not a good mother and doesn't truly care about my son I feel. As she has jumped from place to place since our split. She is currently married to a woman but lives with a guy she is supposedly in a relationship with. Any thoughts on what I could get? It's joint 50/50 and I pay for everything!
My court date is 6/2/17! I currently have a lawyer that I feel isn't feeling as strong as I do in the matter of getting the request and support I need for me and my son. Can you help me with this case?
Thanks
A: No attorney will speak with you while you're still represented. If you have an attorney, you need to talk with your attorney. Family law attorneys deal with these issues day in and day out. They tend to stay level headed and not lot the emotion of the case get to them until it's necessary, which is what makes a good family law attorney. Call your attorney to talk about their impression of the case and how you feel about your representation.
