Q: the building I bought already had tenants residing in it. the tenant is difficult what can I do?
She's currently month to month and section 8 is paying her portion of the rent
A: Assuming there is no lease governing, and she is a month to month tenant, you can give her proper notice of your right to terminate her tenancy, and can demand she is out in 30 days. So long as notice is proper and documented, if she is not out in 30 days, you can file for a forcible entry and detainer action in the county where the property is located.
