Q: Can I sue a company if their product gave me chemical burns?

A: Yes. Supposing you used the product in accordance with the instructions on the label, you may have a personal injury case and the company may be hold liable for negligence. I strongly encourage you to take legal action as soon as possible, as personal injury cases have a statute of limitations which, if expires, you can no longer initiate a lawsuit against the company in question. While for Maine, the statute of limitations is six years, you should contact a lawyer who specializes in personal injury cases at your earliest convenience, as these cases are complex and take a considerable time to prepare.
