Q: Can the attorney handling will obtain new titles for us in the estate so we can sell cars

A: It might depend on whether the attorney is also the personal representative. Most likely the tag and title office will require the names beneficiaries to sign the title applications.

A: That depends upon what type of estate it is. If you have a Formal Administration (ie, assets over $75,000), the Personal Representative can sign the title to sell a vehicle. If you have a Summary Administration, the court will enter and order in favor of the person inheriting the vehicle and then you can sell. Ask you attorney what your options are. Best of luck!
