A: If no date or time is specified in the contract, then the law says it must be completed within a reasonable time. What is reasonable depends on the facts and circumstances of the case. If you feel that they are beyond what could be reasonable, you can terminate the contract and hire a replacement contractor. Any funds you spend on the replacement contractor over and above the original contract price could be recoverable from the original contractor.
