Q: Can I be sued for breeding my dog?
When My little sister died Jan 2015 my dad bred as Litter of purebred German Shepard pups and gave me one. I did not pay for him or sign any contract with him. in the recent year him and I have not been on best of terms because he turned his dog into a puppy mill and he drinks like a fish... A friend of mine had an accidental litter I whelped for him not my dogs but while I was posting sale adds for my friend my dad said he was going to sue me for rights and proceeds of the litter... Even though the litter has nothing to do with with him it is not even my dogs litter both dog owners can testify for that. But if I chose to breed my dog in the future can he sue me... Mind you I pay all bills we have no contract no signature were I agreed to no breeding rights nothing.
A: Anyone can sue. Could he win? No.
