Q: In Nov 2015 i gave my sister permission to drive my car to take her adh son to an mandatory Dr appointment bc she had

No other way...she had an accident but on police report it did say improper lane change but she didn't get a ticket...she was not listed on my insurance(full coverage) bc i moved back home(june) with my mother and that's her residence as well...the insurance company hired a lawyer and i got served with a civil process on Monday...my car was totaled but my insurance company didn't pay my claim as well as the other car bc they said my sister was not listed but she resided in the same house as me....please give me advice don't have $4000

A: If you just moved you would be given time to tell the insurance, especially if she wasn't a regular user. Contact a member of the Ga. Trial Lawyers Assn who handles "bad faith" claims. Contact the state insurance commissioner.But at the same time, don't let the court case go. You have a certain number of days to respond. You may need to file an answer joining as defendants your sister and the insurance company (unless the sister was already a defendant in the papers you got).
