Q: Hi I have question regarding civil judgment that was filed on 08/2010 by capital one bank for amount of $1247 in NYC

I'm worried that my car I'll be towed away .Today is 06/29/2017 it's been almost 7 years to this matter at time I used to work in Dunkin donuts they was able to granish some of my wages but later I had quite job I was doing .How could I get off this from my record should I go to court to settle matter or I should leave it as it is please advice me on this I'm struggling to make my ends meet other day my car was towed for non payments of parking tickets from 2012 I was wondering if capital one bank could send some one to tow my car away that only assest I have please any advice

A: Your car was probably towed for tickets. It is rare for a credit card creditor to seize a car. They seize wages and bank accounts. For this amount, you would be better off settling it. Call the attorney who got the judgment. For $1200, the $800 I would charge to try to undo it is not worth the legal expense. You could probably settle for that.
