Q: My wife got a ticket, was in an accident in Augusta, we live in Atlanta and the precinct wont let us pay online, legit?
My wife was at fault in an accident, when my wife called the precinct the clerk told her she has to show up in court because it was an accident (low speed, no major injuries), I have never heard of anything like this? is it legit? It seems unreasonable to make us drive 150 miles each way (and get a hotel for an 8:30 court time) to simply pay a ticket.
A: Yes, this type of ticket requires and appearance. Contact this attorney in Augusta, to see what you need to bring with you, and ask if she can go to court in advance of your court date, to save you a lost day. Tiffini Duncan, 706-496-5025
