A: The parents should write up an agreement that works for them. When a parent isn't able to follow the court order once in a great while, having flexibility is important. If there is no agreement to go outside the court order, waiting around isn't necessary since people have things to do. Following the order is important. It doesn't sound like he has much time. The court can increase his time to help alleviate the lack of time issues.
