Coral Gables, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: what can I do to stop the father of my daughter to take her on an international trip during class period ?

My daughter is only 3 years old. Me and her dad have been separated for over 2 years now. He wants to take her to an international trip now, but I am telling him to wait until she is on vacation from the daycare she goes. This daycare has very strict rules of not having the child off for more than 2 days unless we bring a paper from the doctor. This is a government program and if she takes days off aside from the vacation period ( June to August) they could take her out from there, and as a single mother I need this daycare since is more affordable for me and closer to my job. What should I do? H e doesn't want to wait and is threatening me now that he will take me to court.

A: The child's passport application normally has to be signed by both parents. No properly signed application means no passport. No passport means no international trip for the child.
