New Braunfels, TX asked in Probate for New York

Q: My mother passed away there are 6 of us we have a house in probate.can I be kicked out of inheritance

All 5 of them stopped talking to me.i signed paperwork and am listed on inheritance

A: First of all I am really sorry about your loss. Second any attorney needs to know if there is a will or not (if there is a will it governs if not it goes by intestate succession law of NY and the process is called Administration, not probate).

I would need to know what you signed- a waiver of process? This question requires for you to get a consultation with qualified Estate Planning attorney so the process can be explained to you.
