Augusta, GA asked in Car Accidents for Georgia

Q: I was involved in a vehicle accident and do not agree with the at fault decision.

I was making a left hand turn and the car coming toward me had their left signal on as well but when i turned they kept coming and hit my rear panel. The guy said he realized that wasn't the road he needed to turn at and that's why he did not turn but the cop said i was still at fault.

A: Well, I think a jury or even a judge would possibly agree with you. Fight the case. The law places a burden on you to make sure your path is all clear. Get a traffic ticket lawyer to help you do all that you can to make no admissions of being at fault, and seek a resolution that will keep points and this accident off your driving record. You will find out how good your car insurance company is, once this case gets processed. By fighting your case, and not pleading guilty, you may benefit on the civil side of the case.
