Q: I have "permanent denial' for drivers license in NYS. Will I be able to get a drivers license in NM?

A: Every state has different motor vehicle laws regarding driver eligibility for a license. A denial in one doesn't ordinarily automatically become a denial in any other, however many states have reciprocity, meaning that they will honor the laws of a sister state and grant the same privileges.
