Q: Can my girlfriend sue me for back rent for a house she stays in without my name on the lease?

My girlfriend is saying she is going to sue me for back rent of 2,500 for a residence I no longer stay at and my name is not on the lease, she also trying to sue me for a previous apartment that no rent is owed on.

A: Oral agreements are still valid. It comes down to proofs.

If you had an agreement with her to pay an amount, then you owe it to her. Sounds like you were living together, and you moved out. If you agreed to pay some or all of the rent, then you're likely on the hook to her.
