Columbus, OH asked in Landlord - Tenant for Ohio

Q: Getting back Secuirty deposit issue

So long story short, moves out, everything fine, we gave our new address. We call the main building to ask when it will get here. Appaerntly they sent it to the old building either to office or our old address even though we gave the manager our new one. Also someone has recieved it apparently. They want a reissue fee on their mess up we refuess to pay for their mistake. We are already planning on suing for other matters. Never went to court or talked to a lawyer yet. I need advice please.

A: You can sue for the return of your security deposit. You can sue for 2x the amount wrongfully withheld, plus your attorney fees. Use the Find Lawyer tab and consult an attorney.
