Q: my dad aplyed to get his resedincy throug me, his daughter, and he was wondering if he is going to have to go to an.

interview or if his residency will come in the mail

A: It depends upon the evidence presented and the discretion of the USCIS, which may demand more evidence or insist upon an interview, among other evidence that has yet to be provided. If he is somehow inadmissible, based upon his past, he may be placed in deportation/removal proceedings. Some who apply are unaware of the numerous reasons that can result in denial.
