Q: How long till I can seal a retail theft felony thats reduced to misdemeanor in Illinois?
It's a first offense. I had 200 hours community service and restitution paid. Both finished early.
A: If you were part of some deferred action or diversion program, you may be immediately eligible for sealing/expungement. If you received court supervision, and completed successfully, you may be eligible for sealing/expungement within two years. If you received some other disposition (Conditional Discharge or Probation), you may be eligible for sealing within three years.
