Bainbridge Island, WA asked in Real Estate Law for California

Q: Can a realtor you did not choose to list email telling me I made a mistake, using profanities and telling me he's mad?

Here are portions of the lengthy email, "When I saw it the day you listed, 90 days ago, (I use MLS auto-notification tools) I thought, Hmm, ok, he went with another Realtor. That’s Exactly what I thought. . . . . Call if and when you’re ready to re-list, Otherwise consider us caught up. I’m mad at you! Actually just hurt. WTF not even a phone call? I don’t care who you went with or why. Just call me when you fire them."

A: It would be best to just ignore something like this and focus on working with your current Realtor to sell your property.

If this person continues to harass you, you can file a complaint with BRE.
