Q: If my husband went to jail for failing his drug test for marijuana while on pretrial release, how long will he be injail

A: The Judge ORDERS conditions of Bond. One of the conditions, is generally to remain drug and alcohol free. If he bonded out but violated a condition of that bond, he could be in jail until trial. It could also be that a new bond amount was set when he (re)entered jail. It might be possible to bond him out now. Consult with a local criminal defense attorney, as he may be able to motion to reduce bond or be (re)released on his own recognizance.
