Q: What do i do? Being accused of hit and run.
My husband is an independent contractor driving a tractor trailer all over the states. he was in Georgia the other day and unknowingly swiped a parked truck, pulling out of a hotel parking lot. Police are accusing him of hit and run and seeking a warrant for his arrest. The footage shows him pulling out and swiping the truck. When he got down the road to a truck stop, he noticed the damage and called a fellow employee. What should he do to ensure that he does not get arrested or have this on his license.? This is his only livelihood.
A: He needs to contact a Georgia attorney who handles these things, who handles cases in the county where it took . Until then he shouldn't speak to anyone.
