Q: Can my landlord demand payment of an unsigned new lease agreement. If my current lease does not end untill the 14 oct?
I moved into my apartment last year on the 14 of October 2 months before my current lease expires. I reached out to my property manager because I had not received a new lease agreement. Four days before the 1st of the month I receive a lease renewal agreement in the mail. Can my property manager demand payment for an unsigned lease. I asked for clarification on this matter in person I was told that rent was due on the first even though my current lease does not end untill the 14th of this month October. Under the new lease agreement my rent goes up $20 am I required to pay the rent in full?
