South Plainfield, NJ asked in Real Estate Law, Stockbroker Fraud and Landlord - Tenant for New Jersey

Q: Realtor told us prepoperty was part of rehab program funded by town , it was false, is that misrepresentation?

Saw a commerical space we were interested in veiwing. Met with the landlord realtor who stated that the property was part of a rehab program where they help promote and more then 3k registriants are forced to shop at all these businesses etc etc. She said " when you sign the lease I will refer you to the person that will help you in the program". After discussion, back and forth negotiations and her bragging about this added benefit in renting the property, we sign. She gives me the name of the person in charge of the program and come to find out that is false. The building is out of the district. She also failed to disclose section 8 was directly behind and we clearly discussed how important foot traffic would be since it was high end dishware. Long story short we tried ads, events, sales etc and nothing. After reading tenant rights we realized that consumer act fraud and misrepresentation was commited. Is this valid to pursue to terminate lease?
