Valrico, FL asked in Copyright and Intellectual Property for California

Q: Clothing company using art without permission of artists who do not have means to hire counsel. Any suggestions?

Company claims over 1 billion dollars in sales last year. Many artists have had their work taken from the internet and used without permission or compensation. Upon being informed, many are opting not to pursue it because they are small artists or even students without means to hire counsel. Some of them also do not reside in the US. Are there any suggestions for a cost effective way for them to take legal action against this company? I am putting a link to an identical case recently decided involving the same defendant and there is at least one other pending case. https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/20389929/Balaz_Solti_v_Lularoe,_LLC_et_al

A: Many cases like this are not feasible. However, with more information, potential approaches could be evaluated. Many California attorneys, myself included, give free initial consultations.
