Indianapolis, IN asked in Car Accidents for Indiana

Q: I was recently in an auto accident as the only passenger in the vehicle and the driver was intoxicated, need advice

Hello, I was recently in a very bad accident, the driver was intoxicated and at fault, I was the only passenger in the vehicle and we did not hit any other vehicles, I suffered a c4 fracture and must wear a neck brace for a month and be out of work for that month, he only had liability insurance with minimum bodily injury coverage of about 25k, i've never been in this situation before and am still pretty young (24) all of this is overwhelming and i'm not sure what my first steps should be, i tried to contact some lawyers but they didn't really want the case since I wouldn't have multiple trips to the hospital, could anyone offer some advice?

A: Unless you have insurance, in excess of 25,000, you have no recourse, irrespective of your injuries. If you do have auto insurance with higher limits, any personal injury attorney can assist you.
