Q: I have someone that I want to marry in Turkey and I was wondering how does it work to bring here?

Do I go to Turkey and how long will it take?

A: You should contact an immigration attorney about a fiancé visa called a K1 visa.

A: You have two options. One is to bring her to the U.S. on a fiancée visa. That will take anywhere from 9 to 12 months. Once she is here, you get married, and then she applied for residence. You can go to Turkey and marry her and bring her to the U. S. as your wife. She enters as an immigrant and does not need to apply for residence. That option can take between 12 and 15 months.
