Corpus Christi, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: If someone is keying (vandalizing) your car in a public parking lot, can you push them away? what law name/case is this?

What all can you do to stop someone who is actively keying your car in a parking lot? Can you please provide the name of the law or the reference to where it can be found? I would greatly greatly appreciate it

A: If you are charged with a criminal offense then you should be asking this question of your criminal defense attorney.

If you are just trying to satisfy your own curiosity, you might want to start with chapter 9 of the Texas Penal Code dealing with justifications, especially the justification for the use of force to protect property.
