Q: I'm mexican, live in Tijuana, i crossed to Sd to visit a friend and they gave me a ticket for smoking on a bus stop.

I went to court and started a payment plan. I payed the first month and then i was unemployed so i couldnt pay the following month. I figured that this would generate interests on my payment or something. So i wanted to pay both months online today and the system wouldnt let me do that. On the screen it appeared a msg that that option was no longer available and that one of the consequences it could be me getting arrested. I'm super nervous and don't want to risk my visa, or get in that kind of trouble, because i cross regularly to visit family or friends. What can i do now? Also in the ticket that the officer gave me, he didn't registered my visa number and on the system when i tried to pay, my last name was wrong, so it was kind of hard to find my case in the first place. PLEASE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

A: when you did not make your payments i would believe a bench warrant was issued and thus you could no longer make payments.

you need a lawyer to make a motion to add to calendar and then quash the bench warrant and ask for sentence to be reinstated.
