Silver Spring, MD asked in Employment Law, Constitutional Law and Employment Discrimination for Florida

Q: Is it against Respectful Workplace confidentiality if my complaint was sent directly to the person I complained about?

If I file a report within my former workplace and HR doesn't to me in 7 days then only speaks to the other party are my rights violated? I reported a former manager sending me harrassing text messages despite me no longer working there and conditions of management. Later I was told that the head manager told the manager I was complaining about and they both laughed at me for the complaint.

Also I quit due to two managers especially picking on me on my work ethic and continuously talking down to me and threatening to "Take my job". Two weeks ago I gave in my 2 weeks notice because of relocation and the manager scheduled me to work the day i said i was leaving and then on so I only had 7 hours for that week. I ended up quitting ahead because I couldnt stand working there anymore.

Are any of my right violated or could I build on this?

A: Unfortunately, there is no such thing as "respectful workplace confidentiality." It may be poor form, but there is nothing I can see fro what is here that was illegal.
