Q: Mexican National Married in Mexico I have 1 child that lives with mother in Mexico and want a divorce what can I do?

I am currently in the US and want to get a divorce from here. Is that possible??

A: You can get a divorce here. However, Colorado does not have jurisdiction to decide child custody matters unless the child has lived here for at least six months.you should retain an attorney to assist you with this.

A: If you have lived here for 91 days or more, you should be able to file for divorce. However, the court will not be able to enter financial orders or child related orders if child and mother live, and have lived in MX.
