Q: I got Stop my car that was a man with no tags or insurance by the person who owns the car sold it so what should I do
I was sitting at a gas station out of the car and The Cop ran the car tag Then told me to come and talk to him I told him it wasn’t my car this was the only day I drove But I did not know that it didn’t have tags or insurance The person who owned the car sold it what should I do
A: If the officer didn’t see you operating the vehicle, the no insurance should be dismissed because misdemeanors have to be committed in their presence. You can go to the county clerks office and get a printout showing that the car has been sold or transferred and that should take care of the expired tags charge.
