New York, NY asked in Civil Rights and Landlord - Tenant for New Jersey

Q: hi, I need an attorney for civil part landlord/tenant.

I was living in a house with the owner -- he passed away -- the son took over the house -- not sure if he has legal ownership -- the son asked me to stay living in the house and said he was going to rent the down stairs bedrooms -- then he said he was "thinking about moving into the house" -- the son has been harassing and stalking me inside the house -- and told me that I didn't have any rights -- also left me numerous voice mails, constantly wrote me letters & notes, which I have as proof -- came to the house at all hours of the morning (6:30am) and hung around until late in the evening. On Nov 3rd, 2017, the son, who is 72 yrs old, was supposed to be painting the downstairs and walked into the living room area in his underwear as I was walking down the stairs to go to the kitchen -- it is a duplex house and I live in one of the bedrms on the 2nd floor. I contacted the Police. And now the son has filed a complaint against me however, his statements are false and I have proof.
