Im not from Nj i was visiting i was staying in a hotel and was having trouble finding the hotel . I seen an parking lot i made a turn in to turn back around it was dark it was apparently private property I didn't see a sign .got a ticket that holds a court appearance .should i plead guilty or not and explain my side of the story.
A: More information is needed, but your GPS cannot give you permission to enter private property to turn around. You can only enter private property if your looking to business with the owner or store etc. Thus you have not presented a valid defense. A lawyer can eliminate the points on this ticket for you, but of course you will have to pay an attorney fee which will be much more than the fine of the ticket, but will probably save you money in the long run on insurance. Most of us NJ Traffic Ticket Lawyers offer a free in office consultation, you may want to set one up.
