Aldie, VA asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Juvenile Law for Georgia

Q: I'm moving to GA from VA w my mom. I have her blessing to be emancipated so I can start doing what I love; what do I do?

I want to know if it will be forbidden for my mom to help me if things get rough, I want to know if I have to stay in the same state I get emancipated in, I want to know what I have to prove in order to be allowed to, and I would really like to know all the qualifications Georgia, Florida, and California have on this topic.

A: You need TO FILE IN VA and talk to an attorney there about it. You can't file in GA until you have lived here for at least 6 months.
