Q: What do i do if someone asked me to cash paycheck for them now im facing 4 counts from her & 4 counts from her employer

A bill was taken from account of someone i lived with she was upset so i called to cancel the payment and the money refunded to her account She was so upset she closed her account before it processed which also interferred with her payroll direct deposit So she checked the mail daily for about a week looking for her paycheck called her employer told them it was lost The next day her paycheck arrived She asked me to cash it at my bank for her due to issues with her bank and the return she hadnt received Via mobile check deposit the bank holds funds for a day or two to verify check She said that was fine to let her know when it cleared The next day she said her employer will cancel check and issue another one Later the same day the check cleared and funds became available I used some of the money thinking if the check bounced the bank would simply make my account negative to be paid later her employer saw it had been cashed began investigation caught in the middle she also filed charges
